What this app does
Throne Time is a for-fun toilet-break counter. You tap a button, it records one visit against a country and a timestamp, and shows aggregate global/country statistics. There are no accounts, no logins, and no way to trace a recorded visit back to a specific person.
What we collect
Each tap of the button stores exactly two things: a country code and a timestamp. Nothing else -- no name, no device ID, no session identifier ties a visit to you.
Your IP address is used transiently, in memory, to guess which country to pre-select in the dropdown (via an embedded offline lookup, or a header set by our hosting/CDN provider). It is never stored, logged, or sent to a third party for this purpose. You can always override the guess yourself.
We use your browser's localStorage (not cookies) to
remember the country you last selected, purely so you don't have to
re-pick it every visit. That stays on your device.
Advertising
Any ad you see here is sold directly and served as a plain image or link from this site. There is no third-party ad network, no ad cookies, no tracking pixels, and no code that can redirect the page. Advertisers get a spot and a link — nothing about you.
If that ever changes (for example, if the site later uses an ad network), this page will be updated to say exactly what's involved before it goes live.
Country data
The IP-to-country guess uses an embedded, offline snapshot of the free DB-IP IP-to-country database (CC BY 4.0). No IP address is sent to DB-IP or anyone else to perform this lookup -- it all happens locally on our server.
Hosting & logs
Like virtually any web host, our infrastructure provider(s) may keep short-lived technical logs (e.g. IP address, request path, timestamp) for operational and security purposes such as abuse prevention. We don't use these logs for tracking or analytics beyond that.
Your choices
- You don't have to tap the button at all -- the site works without ever recording anything from you.
- You can change or clear the remembered country at any time by changing the dropdown or clearing your browser's site data.
- You can decline ad personalization via the consent prompt or the Google Ad Settings link above.
